Keep Walking South Africa
In Feb 2019 Johnnie Walker launched their new campaign and TVC -Keep Walking South Africa. The concept of the campaignwas about inspiring South Africa and telling the stories of ordinary and extraordinary people who create change for themselves and their communities. The brand campaign commemorated South African achievement and progress. Capacity Relations role was to assist with finding the inspiring and incredible cast for the TVC and amplifying the campaign and what it stands for. The TVC incorporates the stories of South Africa’s golden son Trevor Noah, the country’s first black female pilot Refilwe Ledwaba , Actress and Businesswoman Enhle Mbali and Olympic swimmer Chad le Clos ; fashion designer Thebe Magugu, artist Nelson Makamo, businessman Ze Nxumalo, cinematographer Motheo Moeng and leading female trombone player Siya Makuzeni.
Capacity Relations assisted with finding the incredible cast; we were also responsible for capturing the behind the scenes of the TVC and capturing the stories of each of the individuals part of the campaign. We launched the new campaign and TVC at a preview evening held at the exclusive Saxon hotel, ensuring the right media and guests were there to experience the essence of the campaign. Post launch we engaged with media to tell the Keep Walking SA story ; we ensured the brand and individuals were given equal acknowledgement; we also executed on an influencer campaign utilising some of the faces that appear in the ad. We were challenged with a KPI of R1.7 million worth of coverage and , over-achieved with R7 963 135 across digital, print and broadcast media, with a positive sentiment truly landing the Keep Walking SA narrative.
